Description:
Story boxes use concrete objects to make picture books accessible for children who are blind or have other learning needs. The Family Den is an early childhood enrichment and parenting support program that provides a creative learning environment for children ages infant through four years to develop social, emotional, and cognitive skills while providing caregivers the opportunity to form supportive community. $5 suggested donation per family as financially able. All are welcome. This is a drop-in program, no reservation needed.

*Kristen Witucki has been totally blind since birth. She earned her B.A. in English with minors in German and secondary education. She holds a M.A. in gifted education, a M.Ed. in teaching students who are blind or visually impaired, and she worked as a TVI at West Virginia School for the Blind. Kristen also has an MFA in writing fiction. She currently teaches braille to school age students and is currently the curriculum and content editor for Learning Ally’s College Success Program and is the author of several published nonfiction articles and two short fiction books. Kristen lives in Highland Park with her husband and her two young sons.
