In January 2012, The Cave opened its doors to the youngest within our community. The Family Den serves as a social gathering space and educational facility for caregivers and children ages infant through four years, bringing together neighbors from multiple socio-economic, racial, ethnic, religious, and family backgrounds.
The pilot project of The Family Den is a winter reading program called Cubs in the Cave. Deriving its name from the image of curious bear cubs, tumbling around, playfully exploring the world, this program will incorporate storytelling, art, drama, and music into the wondrous world of children's literature.
