![]() Another way to help is to reuse things instead of being the constant consumer who buys more-more-more. How does it help? When you don’t buy material goods, you create negative demand for them. Companies see that their items are not selling, so they stop producing those items, and switch to producing something more needed. When you recycle, the item is converted into material that will be used for manufacturing more items. If you throw a plastic bottle into the trash, it will end up sitting in a landfill, but if you recycle it, it can be chopped up and melted into liquid matter to be molded into new plastic goods.
